Jim Parsons New Movie/Series News, Rumors: Actor Says He'd Like to Portray Batman's 'The Riddler' Villain [VIDEO]

Superhero roles are definitely popular now, as many actors and actresses are looking to pick them up, but it's important not to rule out any of the villain roles, as those are also very coveted.

It feels like every other day a new actor is getting recruited into one of these roles, and it has recently been revealed that Jim Parsons from 'Big Bang Theory' may want a slice of that pie.

In a recent interview with MTVUK, Parsons spoke on his interest in reprising a Riddler role, but he didn't specify within film or television.

After being asked if he would like to ever play a superhero he states:

"I would like to be a villain. I would really like to play The Riddler. I don't feel they're using The Riddler very much, are they?"

The Riddler hasn't been used in a movie since 1995 with Jim Carrey, however Cory Michael Smith currently helms the role as a pre-Riddler on Fox's 'Gotham.' It isn't sure if he was aware of the actor's current work.

After a comment stating that he'd be "dope" for the role, he responds:

"Wouldn't I? You hear that? I would be 'dope' as The Riddler. Girls, tell your friends."

This may not be a bad look for the actor, as in his most notable role as Sheldon Cooper on 'Big Bang Theory', he comes off as a condescending brainiac uninterested in normal trivial ideals. This trait is somewhat reminiscent of the character.
