Jesus Cultures Kim Walker-Smith & Husband Skylar Smith New Album 'Home'

Kim Walker has become a world renown worship singer with the band Jesus Culture. Jesus Culture started as a young adult worship ministry and 1999 and they released their first music in 2006 with Everything. 

in between her work with Jesus Culture, Walker released her first solo album Here Is My Song in 2008. Her schedule since then had stayed busy with JC work and her marriage to photographer/graphic designer Skyler Smith in 2009. Then at the end of 2012 was confirmed the release of Still Believe which was announced as Kim Walker-Smith's second solo record and released on Jan 15, 2013. It was recorded during a night of live worship at the Cascade Theater in Redding, CA.  

Kim has now released, as of today (July 16) her new solo record and brought her husband in to work with her this time. The new album is called Home by Kim Walker-Smith and Skylar Smith.

The songs have a more mellow, reflective, singer-songwriter vibe then what listeners are used to with Jesus Culture but is great songwriting and a nice change of pace for Kim. It is also great that she is able to share this experience with her husband and work on songs together. Hearing them both together, you can really feel the emotions in the songs and it is beautiful. 

Kim is still currently singing with Jesus Culture and is just over 7 months pregnant as well, so she has a lot going on in 2013!
