Jessica Alba News: Actress Appears on Cover of Forbes Featuring 50 Richest Self-Made Women List
Actress Jessica Alba seems to be at the highest peak of her career as an actress, her personal life, and even her business life. Alba stunned everyone by appearing on the latest cover of Forbes magazine for its June issue featuring 50 Richest Self-Made Women list.
Although Alba is not included in the 50 richest self-made women, she is still a self-made woman as she is known to have built up an already $1 Billion worth company. She is said to be women to look out for as she is also in a fast-paced industry having a company selling eco-friendly baby and wellness products.
The 'Sin City' star is just 34 years old and is already seen as one of the brilliant self-made women in the world. Alba posed in the famous financial magazine wearing her business outfit with a little touch of glamour of course.
Alba was seen sporting a black and white dress and over it was a satin black blazer that made her look even more smart and had that business feel. In an interview with Forbes, Alba recalled how tough it was in building the company called Honest Company in 2012.
Apparently, she built the company after being inspired when she was looking for baby products back when she was pregnant with her eldest child, Honor in 2008. "I want beautiful design like everybody else. But it shouldn't be premium-priced, and it should, of course, be safe," the actress told Forbes of what she looks for in products adding, "And the natural diapers: Why do they have to look like your baby's wearing a brown bag?"
Fashionable and environment friendly are apparently the qualities that Alba made sure their products had. The company has now reportedly 350 employees and Alba owns 15-20% of the company which is worth $1Billion.
Elizabeth Holmes founder and CEO of Theranos topped the Forbes' list with $4.5 billion while Oprah Winfrey, 61, is No. 3 with $3 billion. Meanwhile Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, 45, is No. 16 with $1.1 billion and famous singer Madonna, 56, is No. 28 with $520 million. The Queen Bey, Beyoncé, 33, and Judge Judy's Judith Sheindlin, 72, share the 49th place with $250 million-$50 million.
