Jeremy Lin Trade Rumors 2014 News: Linsanity Traded by Houston Rockets to LA Lakers to Sign Free Agent Chris Bosh (VIDEO)

According to numerous sources, Jeremy Lin has been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers to pair with the young point guard with future Hall of Famer, Kobe Bryant, in Hollywood.

"Sources say Houston Rockets trying to trade Jeremy Lin to the Los Angeles Lakers. Report now on @SportsCenter," wrote ESPN NBA insider Marc Stein via Twitter on July 11.

The Rockets traded away Lin in order to make a room on the salary cap so they can sign Miami Heat's free agent Chris Bosh into a lucrative max contract for reportedly four years reaching $88 million.

Another longtime NBA insider also reported on Lin's recent trade to one of the premier franchises in NBA history, despite the fact that the Lakers had a dreadful season this past year.

"The Rockets finalizing Jeremy Lin, a future first-round pick and other draft considerations to the Lakers, league source tells Yahoo," posted Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski on his Twitter page on Friday.

As a result of Lin's trade to LA, Bosh is hoping to form a championship caliber team in the Lone Star state when he teams up with Dwight Howard and James Harden in Houston.

Bosh previously formed a "Big Three" with the Miami Heat alongside Dwayne Wade and Lebron James, where the trio won two consecutive championships in 2012 and 2013, before losing to the San Antonio Spurs in this year's NBA Finals.

Bosh's former teammate (James) has just announced that he will return home to the Cleveland Cavaliers in order to help his hometown team win its first NBA title.

After Houston signs Bosh, the Rockets are also planning to match Dallas Mavericks' three-year, $46 million offer sheet to in order to retain their restricted free agent Chandler Parsons.

Now that Lin is no longer a Houston Rocket, he is expected to have a lot of court time next year since Lakers' aging point guard Steve Nash is still recuperating from last year's hamstring injury.

"I feel great right now. I've been able to pretty much go without limitations. I'm obviously not trying to overdo it so I can allow that nerve to settle down perhaps and be less irritating. It has worked so far, but I would hate to say this is where it will be like once I join the rigors of an NBA schedule," said Nash when he promoted his yearly charity soccer event in NYC, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
