Jeremy Lin News: Lakers 'Linsanity' Shows Improvement in Win Versus Charlotte Hornets
After being benched and overshadowed by some of his teammates, Lakers player Jeremy Lin's time in the spotlight is back as he reportedly performed well in the recent game against the Charlotte Hornets last Tuesday.
In an interview with Serena Winters which she shared online, Lin shared how good he felt about his latest performance at the game. "J. Lin on his post All-Star break improvement (1/2):'Right now I feel pretty good & the team is playing in a way that is very helpful for me'," Winters wrote quoting Lin.
Winters, in another post shared Lin's statement saying that the Lakers coach is giving him more time in the court. "Jeremy Lin (2/2) "& coach is letting me go a little more & I'm trying to stay aggressive & find my rhythym & get to the basket." (on TWC)," Winters wrote.
Apparently, the team's coach had some faith in Lin which made him play 30 minutes off the bench wherein Lin made a score of 23 points with eight assists, six rebounds, two steals and a block. Indeed, Lin is prepping up to be one of the greatest rising players for the Lakers.
Although still apparently overshadowed by veteran Ronnie Price, Lin is seen to be gearing up to be a good player especially since he will become an unrestricted free agent this coming summer. If Lin doubles up his game, he might just get several offers including a re-contract from Lakers.
As Lin said, the Lakers coach is slowly giving him some playing time in court which only leads to one conclusion, that he is getting better as the NBA season continues. Lin improved greatly as he previously had an average of 17.0 points, 5.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor.
