The famous neighborhood where Lopez grew up, at the Bronx, gave her the famous phrase which is always beside her name 'Jenny From the Block'. The TV special is called 'Neighborhood Sessions With Jennifer Lopez'.

"This is where it all started for me," the dancer shared in the show as she drove through her childhood neighborhood. "I was walking these streets and thinking about what I wanted my life to be and dreaming about singing and dancing and acting and how could I make that happen from here," she said.

The now famous Hollywood icon revealed how she first dreamt about everything she has already achieved. "It seemed far-fetched. But at the same time, my dreams were bigger than the idea that it couldn't be done," Lopez revealed.

Apparently it was the local Boys & Girls club that helped her to be discovered as it was also a dance club. "Those are wonderful memories," she said reminiscing her days in the neighborhood. "Those are not memories like thank God I got out of the Bronx. I never think of it that way, ever. There was nothing bad about that place. It's what shaped me and made me who I am," Lopez said.
