Jennifer Lopez Divorce Rumors: 'Papi' Singer Offcially Changes Surname from Muniz
News that "On the Floor" singer Jennifer Lopez has officially retaken her maiden name is making headlines as the artist breaks into the New Year as a single woman.
For those that don't know, J-Lo married record producer Marc Anthony back in 2004, but evidently they have since split.
On that note, and just a few days ago, Lopez changed her surname back from Muniz to Lopez according to several news reports that have been confirmed by court documents.
The 'American Idol' judge apparently had a tough time going through the devastating break up. She recently opened up in her new HBO documentary titled 'Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again'. "I remember being on the set and being in my dressing room and not feeling like I could get up in the morning and there's just no pain like that," Lopez narrated.
"'There's no pain or failure like going through a divorce. That hope, that dream, that fairytale, with that first time that dream gets blown to pieces, you feel like you're going to die. You feel like you failed. You feel like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it work,'" she continued.
The singer and actress like the many single mothers of today, also revealed her regrets on not having a whole family. "'That wasn't my dream. My dream was for us to always be together. You never want to break up family," she added.
The mother to six-year-old twins Emme and Max recently revealed in a November interview with the Huffington Post that one of the greatest thoughts she had was considering her two children in divorcing then husband Marc Anthony.
"Everything from the outside seemed perfect. But the truth was ... my marriage was falling apart. ... I was terrified that that realization was occurring to me, like, 'This is not working. I'm not happy. This is not good," Lopez shared.
"What do I do? I have these two small children.' It was so tormenting and anybody who's gone through it knows that. And then going through it in the public eye just adds that little bit of extra ouch," she added.
