Jennifer Lawrence New Movie News: 'Hunger Games' Actress to Star in War Photographer's Memoir Based Film

Actress Jennifer Lawrence will be starring in the film adaptation of the war memoir that belongs to war photographer, Lynsey Addario, says Warner Bros. The movie will be directed by Steven Spielberg and will be titled "It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War,' according to Deadline.

The movie will be based on the photographer Addario, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who is known to have photographed victims in the conflict regions, particularly women, in areas like Afghanistan, Iraq, Darfur and the Democratic Republic of Congo over the past 15 years.

On one point in time, an excerpt of Addario's memoir was published in The New York Times Magazine. Also, according to the newspaper, there was a bidding war for the film rights. Interested parties included Darren Aronofsky, Working Title Films, Margot Robbie and The Weinstein Company. Various parties wanted various actors to star in the movie, such as Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon, says Deadline.

Speaking about making the film and choosing the right bidder Addario said, "I wanted to work with people with integrity like Warner's and Andrew Lazar, people who will honor my vision and honor the passion that I brought to my work and bring that to their work. It's really about integrity, passion and being true to the issues that I cover," writes Time.

She also added, "I feel a huge pressure to be successful in communicating their trauma. I have to make sure that I take this information and disseminate it in a way that's useful to them in the long term; that will prevent other women from going through what they went through. I can't imagine not dedicating my life to trying to stop those things from happening."
