Jean Watson To Release First Worship-Focused CD In Summer; Goes Around US On Promo Blitz
Renowned violinist and vocalist Jean Watson recently guested the Proclaim 16 Christian media convention in Nashville, Tenn., promoting her first worship-focused CD which is set to release this summer.
Jean Watson said in a statement that she feels really blessed to be able to attend the convention, hosted by the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), and talk not only to the media present there, but also worship leaders and their flock.
"What a blessing to connect with so many people who have a heart to communicate the love of God to the world," she said. "It was great to be able to share my story and music with people from all over the country in one place."
Jean Watson's new worship CD, produced by Shadowlands Music and distributed through New Day Distribution, will feature guest performances from Michael W. Smith and Tree63's John Ellis. To date, the new album still has no title.
"I'm incredibly excited about this new project," Watson said. "It's the first time I've done a completely worship-focused project, and I believe it conveys the most authentic 'Jean Watson' sound I've ever created."
First starting her career as a violinist, Jean Watson has over time developed a fanbase for her haunting vocals. She has been honored by the UK Christian Music Alliance as the Best American Female Praise and Worship Artist four times.
People who saw Jean Watson perform on The Harvest Show, CBN's The 700 Club, TBN's Praise the Lord, Cornerstone TV's The Living Room Concert Series, Life Today TV with Randy Robinson and TV 57's Babbie's House will know what to expect with her upcoming worship CD.
