A joint album between hip hop's most influential power couple has been long rumored in the industry, however it has been more recently believed to be "nearing completion."

The news comes from the host of Skee TV, who initially stated the album's production in September. According to producer Detail, the album is attached to Jay-Z's Tidal service as an exclusive feature.

"Although Bey and Jay have yet to officially confirm the rumors, producer Detail confirmed the album to Billboard in February. 'When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think 'album.' You should already know', Detail told Billboard, before adding that he hopes the album will come out this year," writes Huffington Post.

Reps for Tidal have not yet confirmed the rumored album either. Since the music streaming service went live, it has featured some exclusive content from both artists.

If there is some validity to this joint album, it would be a great business move on Tidal's part, as the streaming service has since declined since it's first week's launch.
