Jason Gray Collaborates With The Best On New Album, ‘Where The Light Gets In’
Even if considered as a veteran in the industry, Jason Gray is proving that he's not above collaborating with his peers in order to produce a noteworthy album.
For his highly anticipated album, "Where the Light Gets In," the multi-talented songwriter and singer teamed up with Ben Glover, Jonathan Smith, Paul Mabury, Justin Ebach, Casey Brown, Jason Ingram and Colby Wedgeworth.
Talking about his new album, Jason Gray said that his latest opus is a departure from his last album, which tackled the theme about grief.
"I wanted to make a statement right at the beginning of this record that it's about hope and that it's got some fun in it, too," he said in the press release. "So I put the pop song 'Learning' at the beginning of the record."
Gray also said that there are some tracks in "Where the Light Gets In" that put him out of his comfort zone, particularly on the empowerment anthem like the song, "Learning."
"I think they can be self-focused and ignore a lot of reality. But in this case I thought, 'I want to tweak the genre to create an empowerment anthem that's based, not on my own power, but on a real confidence in the grace of God.'"
