January 2015 Mid-Season TV Premiere Dates: 'Arrow', 'Sleepy Hollow', 'Supernatural', & More

As 2014 has come to a close, TV watchers are gearing up for the return of their favorite shows in their mid-season premieres. January alone marks the return of various TV shows that have high ratings and outstanding viewership.

On Sunday, January 4th, viewers availed the return of comedies: 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', featuring a Brooklyn police department, 'Family Guy', 'Mulaney' and 'Bob's Burgers'. These four comedies are fan favorites, but they cannot overshadow the Season 5 mid-season premiere of 'Downtown Abbey', a British drama series starring the Crawley family and their servants.

In the next week of January, thrilling dramas and mysteries come back to resolve the big questions we have been wondering. On Monday, 'Gotham' and 'Sleepy Hollow' air on Fox for action-obsessed television fans. Two notable dramas in their final season include 'Glee', appearing on Fox in a two-hour premiere, and 'Parenthood' airing on NBC.

For the rest of the month, we will be treated to the mid-season premieres of dramas like 'Jane the Virgin', a comedy drama about an accidental insemination, 'Supernatural', starring two hapless brothers, and 'Arrow', a superhero series.

If you are over dramas, January will bring forth some of the biggest reality television shows. 'American Idol' is in its 14th season, and has several juicy game-changers to offer when it premieres on Fox on Wednesday, January 7th.

We will also see the return of celebrities from 'Project Runway' when the spin-off competition returns to lifetime with 'Project Runway All Stars'. Speaking of celebrities, 'Saturday Night Live' intends to brighten your Saturday evening with popular actors and actresses. On January 17th, the show premieres with 'Enchanted' actress Amy Adams.

As it stands, January 2015 is looking like it's going to be one great month for television.
