"Jane the Virgin" season 2 left fans heartbroken after the unexpected split of Xiomara Villanueva and Rogelio dela Vega. It can be recalled that in the previous season, the two decided to break up since each of them wanted to take different paths for their future.

While Rogelio wanted to have more kids, Xo wanted to enjoy life without having to worry about babies. Xo got pregnant with Jane when she was a teenager, and she never really enjoyed the experience.  However, fate seemed to have had other plans for her, since she got pregnant with the child of Esteban Santiago. This is expected to crush Rogelio, considering his long-standing rivalry with Esteban. Fans of the series have also yet to know next season if Xo will keep her baby.

Since her pregnancy was unexpected, there is a possibility that Xo will get an abortion. On the other hand, some believe that she will be brave enough to keep the child.

According to showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman, questions about Xo's pregnancy will be answered next season.

"We always knew that we wanted Xo not want to have a baby and then we were trying to figure out how we were going to be ending her story," she said. "If she got pregnant with Rogelio's nemesis, it would be very shocking to her and to the audience and also she doesn't want to have a baby so that's definitely going to be something that we dive into," she said in her interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
