Following their split, fans continue to hold out hope that Jane Gloriana Villanueva and her baby daddy Rafael Solano will rekindle their relationship in the future.

In the "Jane the Virgin" season 2 finale, Jane said "I do" to Michael Cordero, but something tragic came up. Michael was shot and it has yet to be revealed in the upcoming season if he was able to survive the shooting.

While all of the cast members refuse to provide any spoilers about the fate of Michael, it is certain that Jane will try to cope with what happened by spending time with her family. Actress Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane, has reportedly been spotted shooting several scenes with Justin Baldoni (Rafael) and Adam, who portrays baby Mateo.

Just recently, the actress shared a photo on her Instagram account, showing herself and Baldoni smiling at the camera as Adam gives Baldoni a strange yet funny stare. Rodriguez took the photo with her co-stars on the set of the series.

"How baby Mateo looks at Baby Daddy. #FamilyIsBack #janethevirgin," reads the caption.

It remains to be seen whether or not Jane will get back together with Rafael in the future, but one thing is for sure: Her old crush Sam will make an appearance next season.

TV Line revealed that "Young and the Restless" star Miles Gaston Villanueva is joining the cast as Sam, an intellectual and sexy man from Jane's past.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 is set to premiere on October 17, 9:00 P.M. on The CW.
