The Villanueva household will celebrate Mother's Day in a different kind of way in the next episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 2, titled "Chapter Forty-Two."

Based on the synopsis for the episode, Petra, now a mother of two, will try to change the Villanueva ladies' usual holiday tradition as she organizes a grand brunch party for Mother's Day.

"Petra hosts a brunch for Mother's Day, altering the Villanueva ladies' usual holiday tradition. Meanwhile, Jane's TA position becomes endangered; Rogelio feels left out of Dina's birthday celebration; and Rafael's half-brother lands him in hot water."

In the promo trailer for episode 20, it looks like the Villanueva ladies are not so enthusiastic about attending the celebration. However, Jane insists that they will come. While they are on their way to Petra's house, Jane tells them that the only reason she accepted the invitation is that she wants everything to be peaceful among them. While the Villanueva ladies try to be as civil as possible, the video clip shows how awkward they feel to be celebrating Mother's Day with Petra.  

The promo trailer also reveals that Jane may have to deal with another snag in her life as her TA position gets endangered.

Meanwhile, Rogelio asks Jane to help him sort some things out after not receiving an invitation from Dina to her birthday bash.

In other news, producers of "Jane the Virgin" season 2 are currently looking for a middle-aged actor who will officiate Jane and Michael's wedding in the season finale.
