It's been confirmed that Britney Spears will appear in season 2 of Jane The Virgin, the popular CW dramedy.

She is very excited about the casting and she tweeted: "See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil!" She also posted: "Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue"

The cast of the Latino series are also jumping in their seats, but some for different reasons.

Gina Rodriquez, who once sat on the X-Factor panel of judges with Spears tweeted, "Literally fell out my chair @britneyspears I cannot wait to work you with beauty! I'm covered in goosebumps. This is unreal!!!"

Jaime Camil also tweeted "You're the absolute best @britneyspears! It'll be a great honor to have you on the show! #DreamComeTrue for us."

However, his character Rogelio is excited that Spears is coming on board for a different reason.

She will be playing his nemesis on the show, according to Jeannie Urman, the show's creator, a role that mirrors their real life "toxic relationship," as he so cheekily put it.

Rogelio feels it's face off time, a time to put a head to the bad blood between himself and Spears.

He hopes he'll have a chance to have it out with her, as do the other cast and crew members, "We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis' - Britney Spears - has agreed to appear on Jane the Virgin in episode 205,"

Urman stated, "Personally, after hearing about their long-standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney."

Neither Rogelio nor Spears will divulge any details of why they don't see eye-to-eye. Rogelio tweeted, "My nemesis is coming!!! My former BFF @britneyspears!!! Prepare to face the wrath of Rogelio! #

Originally set to premiere on Mon Oct 19^th, 9:00 pm EDT, Jane The Virgin's second season has now been brought forward to Mon Oct 12^th, according to Variety.
