Jamie Vardy Could Replace Lionel Messi on FIFA 17 Cover
For years, Lionel Messi has been on the cover of the most sought after football video game ever. However, his rule on the cover may be coming to an end.
Messi has replaced, Wayne Rooney on the cover of the EA Sports FIFA video game and ruled from FIFA 13-16. However, there were reports that say that the Argentine future hall-of-famer will not be renewed to partake in the cover for FIFA 17.
Several names had been involved in different speculations but there is no official word yet from the makers of the game.
According to Sportskeeda, Jamie Vardy could be the man to replace the Argentine on the cover photo. There are also rumors saying that he is currently in talks to have a Hollywood movie made based on his rags-to-richest story.
Also, according to Gamunation, another reason why Vardy could be the next face in the cover is because of the job that he has done recently. At this point in his season, he has already scored 15 goals to lead Liecester city during the previous EPL season.
Other names such as James Rodriguez and Sergio Aguero have also been included in the prospects list. The two players have also done incredible things for their respective football clubs in their previous season.
FIFA has sold more than a 100 million copies worldwide since its first release dating back on July 15,1993. Some of the greatest players in the world of football have been on the cover such as Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo; sealing their legacy in the game's history.
