James Bond 'Spectre' Release Date, Cast News: 24th James Bond Movie Starts Filming, First Set [PHOTO]

The first day of filming the 24th James Bond movie, 'Spectre', officially began on Monday, and some set photos have already been shared on social media.

Four days ago, Pinewood Studio announced the official cast and crew of the newest bond movie, and now, fans of the film series are excited to learn that the production is well under way.

The official Twitter account for the movie posted a new picture from the 'Spectre' set, showing the first slate for the first take of the movie.

For those that may not know, the title of the movie stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, it as an organization led by the evil genius Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the Bond novels.

Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as James Bond in the movie, along actors Ben Whishaw as Q, Rory Kinnear as Tanner and Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny.

Ralph Fiennes is also included in the movie and will play the role of M, while Lea Seydoux from "Blue Is the Warmest Color" will play Madeleine Swann. Christoph Waltz will play Oberhauser and Monica Bellucci will give life to the character of Lucia Sciarra.

Dave Bautista from 'Guardians of the Galaxy' will be playing Mr. Hinx and a character called Denbigh will be played by 'Sherlock' star Andrew Scott.

Sam Mendes, who made the announcement of the cast members and the title of the film at the 007 Pinewood Studios stage, will be directing the movie, along with 'Interstellar' cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema, while Lee Smith will be its editor.

"A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE," reads the movie logline.

'Spectre' will hit theaters on November 6, 2015.
