Jake Owen News: Music Star Opens Up Talks About His Divorce on Stage
It seems like a lot of musicians are on the road to Divorcing and the latest one to announce the unfortunate decision is signer Jake Owen recently posting on his Twitter that he and wife and model Lachey Buchanan mutually agreed to divorce after three years of marriage.
It is indeed a struggle for many Hollywood artists to go through divorce especially in the public's view but Owen is different. The famous singer apparently shared what he is going through on stage during his recent concert sharing his deep thoughts of his divorce with Buchanan with whom he shares a daughter with named Pearl.
A day later after announcing his divorce, Owen's concert last Saturday at WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn., before singing Garth Brooks' 'The Dance' he said to the crowd, "A lot of people maybe shy away from it, but I think I'm going to do some weird stuff. My wife and I are getting a divorce, and this is probably the hardest s--t I've ever done in my life, to walk on stage every night, and try to pretend that everything's awesome, when it really isn't awesome. You know what I'm saying?"
It is obvious that Owen can't help but share his struggle but the singer still thanked his fans for being respectful and supporting him through this difficult time. "But thanks to people like you guys for singing along, you have no idea how much you lift me up every single night," he said and then thanked most of all his estranged wife and their daughter as well saying, "and I love my wife more than anything in the world, and I love my little baby girl Pearl more than anything in the world."
"If it wasn't for both of them, I wouldn't even be here right now to be a happy man. That's a dance I'm glad I got to dance," he added.
Although Owen didn't explain what went wrong that led them to decide to divorce, his Twitter post however explained how they wanted to have privacy in the matter. "This is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. We appreciate your support and privacy in this matter," he wrote.
"I wanted to let my fans know how much I've appreciated their love and support of not only my career, but my family as a whole," he added. "Sadly, Lacey and I have decided to end our marriage. We want to focus on our daughter Pearl and make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents. We appreciate you respecting our privacy during this time."
