Jada Pinkett Smith News: Actress Openly Discusses Her Marriage to Will Smith in Interview
In a recent Howard Stern interview, 'Gotham' actress Jada Pinkett Smith spoke openly on her marriage with Will Smith and dropped some very insightful advice to couples.
The couple has been married close to 18 years now and have managed to keep their relationship not only healthy, but private from destructive media.
Rumors years ago suggest that the couple is in a open relationship, and while Jada didn't deny or confirm these rumors, she goes on to voice her opinion on their marriage.
"Here's the deal with that, Howard, you've got to trust who you're with. And at the end of the day, I'm not here to be anybody's watcher," the 'Gotham' actress told Stern. "I'm not his watcher. He's a grown man. Here's what I trust -- I trust that the man that Will is, is the man of integrity. So, he's got all the freedom in the world. As long as Will can look himself in the mirror and be okay, I'm good."
Jada's view tied in with last year's rumor of Will Smith having an affair with 'Focus' and 'Suicide Squad' costar Margot Robbie.
"Here is what's real -- I'm not the kind of woman that believes a man is not going to be attracted to other women," she explained. "I'm just not that girl. It's just not realistic. And just because your man is attracted to another woman, does not mean he doesn't love you. That's not what it means. And it doesn't mean he's going to act on it. If your man can't really see another woman's beauty, how the hell is he going to see yours?"
Jada ends with prompting couples to avoid marrying young as she recalls how they both wed at ages 25 and 28.
"It did work out, but let me tell you: It worked out in a way that thank God I had a husband who's a gangster partner. Taking that road from 25 to 44."
