'iZombie' Season 2 Plot Spoilers: Blaine Becomes Human Again, Liv and Major Have New Love Interests
The first season of 'iZombie' ended on a surprising note as the innovative zombie Blaine (David Anders) was once again transformed into a human. Moreover, viewers saw Major (Robert Buckley) having a narrow escape from being turned into a zombie, while Live (Rose McIver) was seen dealing with a difficult decision as she opted not to giver her brother her blood to save him, because if she did that, it would reveal her secret to her family.
In a recent interview with TVLine, 'iZombie' executive producer Rob Thomas revealed tha when the show returns for its Season 2 this fall, fans can expect some changes, especially with Blaine. He also shared that things will continue to be tense between Major and Liv after the events in Season 1.
Thomas explained, "Liv is not avoiding Major, but Major is avoiding Liv."
Christian Today resports that the producer further revealed that in 'iZombie' Season 2 Episode 1, Liv will be seen trying to contact Major because Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) is still probing into the Meat Cute case. Major is her alibi, and while she does everything possible to try to reach out to her ex-fiance, Major too does everything he can to avoid her.
The executive producer further said that Liv and Major are going to have new love interests, and that they are "surprises." If you are hoping for a Liv and Blaine romance, the Thomas said that he has a difficult time putting the two together despite the fact that both of them were zombies during the first season, the two handled their transformation in very different ways. While Liv opted to emply her zombie abilities to help Clive in solving his cases, Blaine murdered teenagers for his zombie business.
Talking about the pairing, Thomas said, "People have been redeemed, effectively, on television. But at this point, I sure have a tough time getting my head around that."
Although the two won't be together romantically, they will share a common enemy in 'iZombie' Season 2, which will probably compel them to work together.
As far as Blaine is concerned, Thomas said that he's enjoying being human again and takes pride when he runs into Liv. However, he is unlikely to reveal to other people that he's no longer a zombie, because he still has customers to cater to.
'iZombie' Season 2 premiers on Oct. 6 at 9/8c on The CW.
