iPod Touch Sixth-Gen News: Apple Brings Back Upgraded Mobile Music Player With New Features

While almost everyone had almost given up all hopes of a new iPod, Apple recently surprised fans and tech enthusiasts by bringing the sixth-gen iPod touch. Fans of this iconic mobile music player would be thrilled to learn that the Cupertino-based tech titan has not only improved the appearance of the new device, but also upgraded the specifications under the hood immensely.

Christian Today reports that Apple last updated the music player way back in 2012. Since then, the company has been concentrating on developing new products, especially the iPhones and iPods. In fact, despite the demands of the fans for an upgraded iPod Touch, Apple had been ignoring the device since its iPhones served the purpose of the music player to a great extent. Therefore, fans were pleasingly surprised when Apple recently decided to bring back the music player in a new avatar.

The sixth-gen iPod touch packs the A8 processor, which has been used in both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. In fact, this is a big leap over the 2012 version and the difference between the two versions is very obvious. The new iPod responds more easily as well as fluidly to user interface, while the apps and features work and perform best on the sixth-gen iPod touch.

In addition to the new processor, the 2015 iPod touch has been greatly improved by incorporating an 8-megapixel rear camera with latest features. The camera has been upgraded from a 5-megapixel in 2012, and has included options for slow-motion as well as burst image capture modes.

Moreover, the device now comes with further improved side apps and options like a faster Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity support. It also incorporates motion hardware for fitness tracking. The new iPod touch also benefits from latest Apple service launches, and includes both iOS 8.4 and the new Apple Music service.

The sixth-gen iPod touch is available in four storage variants, with 128 GB as the utmost. All the versions of the 2015 iPod touch are available in six different colors options.
