iPod Touch 6th Generation Specs Features & Price Rumors: Apple's New Device Expected to Cost $299
Apple has no doubt been making big moves in the tech industry in the past year with releases such as the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as the innovative and upcoming Apple Watch.
There is still a lot of speculation on the release of the new 6th generation iPod Touch, however much like many product announcements, a specific date has not yet been disclosed.
"Apple iPod touch 6 release date has been postponed to initial months in 2015, somewhere near the launch of Apple Watches. Delays in development and testing phase are being cited as the primary reason behind the date shift. Apple is reported to be still mulling over, what should be the best size for a next generation iPod touch, with more votes for iPhone 6 Plus like 5.5 inches display. Apple is also investigating into 'bendgate' issue because can cause problems for consumers later," writes iTech Whiz.
The delay is believed to be due to the company's big plans for the iPod's release, as they want this model to represent an entertainment package.
The new iPod Touch will reportedly feather HD retina display, Touch ID, an 8MP camera, double the RAM of the last model, and more.
"Currently, the iPod Touch 5G is available in the 32GB and 64GB storage models. Due to increasing content storage demand, the gadget is expected to go beyond iPod touch 64GB storage limit with an iPod touch 128GB model too," writes iTech Whiz.
The 6th generation will be priced at the same of the 5th, being around $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB.
