iPhone Cyber Monday Deals 2014: T-Mobile Offers Free Memory Upgrades for Apple Devices

This Cyber Monday, T-Mobile is offering free memory upgrades to customers purchasing iPhone 6, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5c from the network. Earlier, during Black Friday, the network carrier offered discounts on Samsung handsets.

According to IBTimes, customers purchasing a 16GB iPhone 6 will receive a bonus from T-Mobile, which will upgrade the device to a 64GB iPhone 6 for free. Similarly, when customers buy a 32GB iPhone 5s, the device will be upgraded it to a 64GB iPhone 5s, and an 8GB iPhone 5c will be upgraded to a 32GB iPhone 5c by T-Mobile.

A recent press release issued by T-Mobile reads, "Additional memory means more space for the epic photos and videos shot on your iPhone."

It goes on to add, "It means enjoying more of the 1.3 million amazing apps available on the App Store and having plenty of room to grow your content libraries as your storage needs grow over time."

The Cyber Monday deal will commence at 2:01 am PST (5:01 am EST) and end at 11:59 pm PST or as long as the supplies last. However, this deal is only available online. To avail the deal, customers will have to purchase a service plan from the carrier, in addition to their preferred iPhone handset.

This year, T-Mobile has taken on several campaigns to promote the iPhone on its network. In June 2014, T-Mobile announced its Test Drive program, allowing customers on other carriers to try a T-Mobile powered iPhone handset for one week without any subscription fees. In September, the iPhone 6 was included in the network's Test Drive program.

Announcing the network's 2014 Q3 earnings at a program in October, T-Mobile CEO John Legere said that the launch of the iPhone 6 was the biggest event in the carrier's history. Currently, the iPhone accounts for about 20 percent of the smartphone base of T-Mobile.
