iPhone 8 Release Date Rumors, Specs News: Next Flagship Arrives Early Next Year?
The iPhone 8 release date wasn't announced yet although it's rumored to be early next year. One of the anticipated features of the 10th anniversary phone is the optical scanner implanted into the screen.
The new innovation is said to replace the home button. But whether or not people will warm up to the idea is another matter altogether.
According to BGR, other specs and features of the iPhone 8 is the full glass back in place of the aluminum casing that people have come to love. There's also the OLED display which, if the rumors are true, will follow Samsung's lead in its Edge technology that has curve sides.
In order to do that, it makes sense for Apple to take away the home button in favor of the optical scanner. The company's patent filings that reference to this technology have been leaked by multiple websites before. But it's not certain if they will make their way to the iPhone 8.
In related news, MacWorld said that Apple is going all out on the iPhone 8 being that it's the 10th anniversary for the flagship. Some analysts even believe that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won't do as well compared to the other iterations because people are waiting on next year when the next model is introduced.
The article shared Credit Suisse's prediction which points out to the full-glass OLED display, enhanced haptic feedback and other "significant innovations" on the processor and camera.
Watch out for more news and rumors on the iPhone 8 release date, specs and features, which will be published here when they come along.
