Apple iPhone 8 News, Rumors: Upcoming Flagship Smartphone To Feature Haptic Feedback?

Apple is rumored to be doing away with the old home button in the iPhone 7, and other news and rumors that are going around today hinted that the company will make use of pressure-sensitive technology for its subsequent flagship, the iPhone 8.

This is not a new technology, of course, since Apple has been using it for its most recent MacBook. According to 9to5 Mac, the future mobile devices of the company will use the same concept as the Force Touch.

There's really no change in the way the home button works, but the user will have a different feel when he or she presses on the key. Instead of feeling something "click," they can feel something push back against their finger. That's the haptic feedback.

Of course, without any confirmation from Apple or any mainstream news sites, these speculations can be lumped along with all other the rumors surrounding the iPhone 8.

What the rumors are buzzing about is the Iris Scanner feature that is said to be unveiled for the iPhone 8. Aside from the fingerprint access, this is just one other security mechanism for the benefit of the owner's peace of mind.

The rumors also hinted of a facial scanner, although that would be a tad overkill if this is going to be another layer of security. There were speculations before that the iPhone 8 would make use of the all-glass technology that Apple patented. Again, the company is being very secretive about this one, which is understandable because it may change the way people view their mobile phones.
