Several credible reports are pointing to September of 2016 as the most probable month that iPhone 7c will be released. It will be the possible successor to iPhone 5c but instead of being dubbed as iPhone 6c, it will have the 7c moniker because of its late release. It is likely to be commercially available in 2016 along with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.  

It was previously anticipated that the 6c will be released in March but the smaller and thinner successor of the 5c may be commercially available late 2016. According to some sources, the commercial release will be September 2016. This information purportedly came from Foxconn, the main manufacturer of Apple.

Aside from the probable date of release, the unverified reports also provided a price range for the iPhone 7c. The unit is estimated to be sold in the market from $400-$500. Nonetheless, there is no solid evidence to support the rumors despite of some details. The reports should still be taken with a grain of salt, so to speak.

When it comes to specific details, there are several contradictions and vacillations in the rumors that are currently circulating about iPhone 7c. Even the seasoned analysts often miss the more salient details. Some reports indicate that the 4-inch iPhone 7c will be released in January 2016 but there are other more recent reports saying that the likely commercial debut will be September 2016.
