iPhone 7 New Release Date, Specs & Features Rumors: 'Naked Eye 3D Screen' & Wireless Charging?

The iPhone 6 release excitement has not fizzled out yet, and already rumors about the next edition, iPhone 7, have started to make the news.

Several reports on its release date suggest it might be unveiled sometime during September to November, this year. However, Apple usually gives a year's gap between two editions of a product, so logic dictates, the iPhone 7 shouldn't be out until at least next year.

Talking about its expected features, there are all kinds of reported floating around the internet, which predict different specifications.

According to various reports, the iPhone 7 is expected to have the processor memory of its previous edition. According to a Taiwan website with sources in Apple's supply chain, the iPhone 7 will supposedly get 2GB Ram. Apple is expected to use Apple's A9 processor for its next generation of smartphones. The processors are expected to be manufactured using a 14-nanometer design.

According to Economic Daily News, the iPhone 7 could feature a 3D display, which has reported that Apple supply chain partner TPK is working on a project that relates to "naked eye 3D screen,' meaning one doesn't require glasses to view in 3D. There are also rumors that Apple will incorporate Sapphire Glass technology in the iPhone 7.

Also doing the rounds are the rumors that Apple is planning on giving the camera capabilities of the phone a quantum leap by providing the handset with dual-lens DSLR camera. Daring Fireball's John Gruber recently said in a podcast on his blog that a source claims the iPhone 7's camera will have a two-lens system that could help allow users to capture "DSLR-quality imagery,' which only further boosts the rumors.

While there are rumors doing the rounds, some of the users are suggesting possible features to the phone. Many Apple users have proposed that the iPhone 7 be called the iPhone Air, following the example of the MacBook Air and iPad Air lines, according to MacWorld.

On a side note, the iPhone may have an unprecedented wireless charging option, if the technological barriers are overcome.
