The rumors abound regarding the new features and aesthetics as well as the probable date of release. The rumors were fuelled after Apple recently applied for patents.

OLED is the acronym for organic light-emitting diode. It is thin film of organic compound, which emits light when stimulated by electric current. It will allow for thinner phone design and better contrast ratio than the standard LCD screens currently used in smartphones.

The iPhone 7 will definitely be thinner, elegant and faster in terms of computing capabilities. It is speculated to have 3GB of RAM and will have a six-core A10 processor. It will be able to process data and execute multiple commands simultaneously.
