iPhone 6s Specs & Features Rumors: New Patent Suggests Upcoming Device has Virtual Reality Screen Display?

Following rumors that the iPhone 7 will come together with the purported iCar some time in 2016 or even later, all speculations has now shifted to the reported iPhone 6s, which Apple may announce later this year. In fact, such rumors have been fed by press releases issued by Apple in the past saying that the company introduces a smartphone with somewhat updated features soon after it announces an iPhone with significant improvements.

According to the latest rumors, the purported iPhone 6s may possibly come with a virtual reality screen display - something like a device seen in futuristic sci-fi movies.

Meanwhile, Christian Today reports that recently the US Patent and Trademark Office awarded Apple a new patent for virtual reality headset and display technology. The patent awarded to Apple is numbered 8,957,835 and is titled "Head-Mounted Display Apparatus for Retaining a Portable Electronic Device with Display."

The Apple US Patent has been described as a technology that enables users to wirelessly connect their iPhone to a portable device, which can be worn over the head. The user can also adjust the new display according to his/ her convenience.

Nevertheless, it is important to note that Apple has been awarded numerous U.S. Patents, but they have not turned into reality as the company did not incorporate them in its devices. There are occasions when a company simply applies for patent to protect a technology and also to prevent its rivals from developing it.

In addition to the purported VR display, there are speculations that the reported iPhone 6s will be equipped with an A9 microchip processor, a bigger RAM, and an improved TouchID fingerprint sensor. It is expected to run with the iOS 9 software and sport HealthKit as well as Apple Pay. However, the specs of the upcoming smartphone may be of a lower grade have a 4-inch screen display.

There are rumors that the purported iPhone 6s may be announced some time later in 2015. This assumption has been made on the basis of the previous iPhone releases. On the other hand, there are speculations that the reported iPhone 6s may come in May or in spring this year. However, the Cupertino-tech titan has yet to confirm any of the above mentioned rumors and speculations.
