iPhone 6s News, Rumors: Apple Reportedly Commences Production of Force Touch iPhone 6s [VIDEO]

While there have been rumors that Apple will be launching a new variant of its iPhone 6 sometime this year, now a report in Bloomberg endorses the speculations that the Cupertino-based tech titan has already started production of the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus with Force Touch. The media outlet reports that "people with knowledge of the matter" have asserted that production of this year's iPhone has already begun.

According to Tech Radar, Force Touch, which is already available on the Apple Watch and MacBook, is a pressure-sensing technology that reacts to the amount of pressure applied on the display to make the device perform different functions.

Bloomberg reports that its sources claimed that the new pair of phones will retain the designs of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus released in September 2014, in addition to keeping their 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch sizes. While the upcoming smartphones from Apple may be somewhat thicker, their looks are expected to remain the same.

Phone Dog reports that the "S" model iPhones, such as the 3GS and 5S, have actually retained the designs of their previous models, but updated the internals of the devices. It is likely to be the same this year too, except for the incorporation of Force Touch technology, which will offer an entirely new method of navigating the iOS. In fact, it would be interesting to watch how iOS app developers incorporate Force Touch into their software, the report adds.

In addition, to the Force Touch technology, it is expected that the upcoming iPhones will come with enhanced processor speed and memory capacity, in addition to iOS 9.

According to Tech Radar, usually Apple announces new iPhones in September and, hence, it is expected that the company will follow the same pattern. Meanwhile, Bloomberg notes that the availability of the handset will largely depend on how quickly Apple can mass-produce the new Force Touch screens.

All said and done, this does not mean that the new iPhones will come with the 6S monkier, and it is possible that Apple will name the new devices iPhone 7. At the same time, nothing is certain till Apple itself confirms that it is incorporating the Force Touch technology in its upcoming iPhones, which are reported to be under production.
