iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus News: Prices of Apple’s Upcoming Smartphones Leaked

Apple Inc. has announced that they will unveil their upcoming devices, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus, on Sept. 9. While the specs of the handsets were revealed earlier, there was no information regarding their price. Recently, the prices of the two devices were leaked by a media outlet, assuring potential buyers that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus would not be more expensive compared to the current flagship devices, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Christian Today reports that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will debut in the Netherlands on Sept. 25 and they will be available in the three colors same as the iPhone 6. However, a fourth color (rose gold) is yet to be confirmed.

According to the same report, the price tags of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be same as those of its predecessors. If this comes true, the iPhone 6S is likely have a starting price of $649 and the price will increase depending on the storage capacity of the device, for instance 64 GB for $749 and 128 GB for $849.

On the other hand, the price of the iPhone 6S Plus will be a somewhat higher with prices starting at $749 for the 16 GB variant and increasing at $849 for the 64 GB and $949 for the $128 GB variant.

With the rumored pricing of Apple's upcoming devices, it could be good or bad for users who are looking to get more storage for their next iPhones. iPhones with 16 GB storage capacity will still be around and be the base model.

Meanwhile, the good thing about it is that potential buyers can avail the latest version at the same price, although this may still be steep for people who were unable to purchase it earlier. Nevertheless, considering the time when the old iPhones were launched, people who have been saving up for it till now may expect to get their hands on the upcoming devices.
