Two of the most popular smartphones available on the market currently lead the charge in terms of power, style, and functionality. Apple's iPhone 6 and Samsung's Galaxy S5 have both sold millions of units since their initial release, and for very good reason too.

A comparison between the two devices should help anyone on the fence about purchasing on of the two devices.

Apple has completely redesigned its OS to be more colorful, as well as take advantage of the phone's increased screen resolution, which now stands at 1334 x 750 resolution packing 326 pixels per inch.

The S5 has slightly better screen quality, working at 1920 x 1080. This allows both phones to produce rich, clear and sharp images. However, in terms of colors, the Galaxy S5 has been shown to render colors more naturally than that of the iPhone 6.

With regards to phone dimensions, the Galaxy S5 is thicker, coming in at 0.32 inches thick. The iPhone 6, comes in at a slender 0.27 inches, making it sleeker, without sacrificing on power.

Speaking of power, the S5 can provide up to 17 hours of continuous use, compared to the iPhone's 12 hours, so there's not much difference in terms of battery life. In terms of processing speed, Apple is working with the 64bit dual-core A8 chip, running at an impressive 1.4GHz.

Samsung on the other hand, runs with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, which would make it faster for running various Android apps available.

Despite being slim, the iPhone 6 has a ridiculously large amount of internal storage, reaching as much as 128GB. The S5, however, only has 16GB internal, but a memory card can raise that to 32GB.
