iPhone 6 Plus Verizon Pre-Order Wait Times for 16GB, 64GB, 128GB, Gold Version and Other Colors
Apple's latest smartphone innovation, the iPhone 6 Plus, is now out on the market, but due to unanticipated excessive demand, carriers like Verizon Wireless are currently have the units back ordered. According to Maynard Um, a research analyst from Wells Fargo, iPhone 6 Plus appears to be more favored by Apple users because of its 5.5-inch larger screen size.
More than $10 million worth of combined actual sales and pre-orders for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were recorded on the first weekend since the devices' availability last Friday. CEO Tim Cook said in an official statement that the actual figures exceeded the company's expectations. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales are 40 to 60 percent greater than the demand was for iPhone 5 two years ago.
For Verizon subscribers, iPhone 6 Plus is available within a two-year close contract at $299 upfront payment and US $40 monthly fee. Verizon Edge members, on the other hand, get a discounted $25 with 10GB data inclusion.
iPhone 6 Plus is available on gold, white, and black varieties with 16GB ($750), 64GB ($850), and 128GB ($950) capacities priced accordingly. Verizon launches the first of its kind, VoLTE, a voice over LTE service that allows the user to maintain calls while browsing the web.
Also, Verizon's Advanced Calling 1.0 is a free service allowing iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to enjoy HD Voice. "HD Voice delivers clearer, natural-sounding audio when both parties are using HD-Voice-enabled phones that are connected to our 4G LTE network," describes Verizon.
