iPhone 6 Plus Review: Bigger Size, Premium Design, Enchanced Screen Display and Battery
It's apparent that the iPhone 6 was definitely amongst some of the most anticipated smartphones of 2014. This was interesting because the iPhone 5 was a major disappointment, but expectations for the iPhone 6 set the bar high.
In fact, the iPhone 5 was a mere visual update of the iPhone 4, and hence tech enthusiasts were expecting Apple to offer something very different this time.
Though rumors were afloat, Apple surprised most by launching two iPhones - the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, simulataneously. While the iPhone 6 was the smaller 4.7-inch variant simply, the bigger 5.5-inch variant was called the iPhone 6 Plus. These were the biggest iPhones launched by Apple so far.
In fact, it was also high time that Apple moved to making bigger phones with a view to compete with the growing market of bigger smartphones.
Some went as far as to say the iPhone 6 Plus is that it is actually one of the better looking phablets on the market today. All things apart, Apple definitely has a reputation for its premium looking designs as well as their aluminum body and metallic finishes.
When compared to the iPhone 5, it means that the iPhone 6 Plus comes with a bigger battery and the bigger battery denotes a better battery life. However, it does not mean that the battery of the iPhone 6 Plus will last for days without having to charge it, but it does mean that the battery will last longer when compared to its predecessors.
Although the 5.5-inch screen of the iPhone 6 Puls looks ordinary in comparison to other bigger resolution screen from Apple's competitors, the full HD display of the device is still brilliant and high-contrast, partly owing to the Retina display.
On the other hand, the size of the iPhone 6 Plus also causes some problems. In fact, the device is too big for most people with small hands. In addition, the price tag of Apple products is one of the most off-putting qualities and the iPhone 6 Plus is no exception. The device is quite expensive even when bought with a contract.
All said and done, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus together with the iOS 8 offer enough new functionality to tempt existing iPhone owners to invest in an upgrade.
