iPad Pro Specs Rumors, News: New Apple Tablet Rumored to have USB 3.0 Ports
With the declining sales in tablets for all technology companies, Apple is jumping on the bandwagon to focus on changing features, design and use for its tablets. In a report from the Wall Street Journal, Apple stated that the supposed iPad Pro will begin production in the fall quarter instead of this quarter.
Apple pushed back production in earlier months. Many features and design debates were held with the company and its supporters. The design is still being finalized as Apple said that the new tablet would have a 3.0 USB port instead of the 2.0.
According to Tech Times, a 3.0 USB is 10 times faster than the 2.0. It can also transfer large amounts of data to say a USB hard disk or syncing up iTunes without the worry or hassle users have had in the past. Other features for the new tablet include additional ports for a mouse and keyboard even though the company provides many wireless devices with Bluetooth.
The iPad Pro will have a 12.9-inch display, making it the largest tablet Apple has made so far. The iPad has a 9.7-inch display and the iPad mini has a 7.9-inch display.
Despite the fall of tablets, many financial and business experts say that tablets will still be used, especially for businesses. Tablets can be transported to on-site businesses and make carrying their information easier than hauling a laptop around.
However, for day-to-day users, it looks like consumers prefer to use larger smartphones such as Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus since smartphones now can do the same amount of work a tablet can do. It is also important to notice that consumers tend to hold on to their tablets more and buy a new smartphone every six months or so.
More information about the iPad Pro will continue as the production date draws nearer.
