iPad Pro News & Update: Is Apple Device A Computer Or not? Microsoft Answers With Sarcastic Ad

Microsoft just ran an ad that destroyed the claims of Apple that the iPad Pro is not just a tablet but can actually work like a computer.

The ad in question is as simple as it gets. In terms of presentation, it's just the two devices-the iPad Pro and the Windows Surface 4--sitting side by side on a white background with party buntings on the top. In fact, a high school student will probably provide better graphics than that.

However, the message is much more important than the graphics.

In the video, which can be seen here, Siri has thrown a party just because the iPad Pro just got a new keyboard. Then Microsoft goes on to list the things that the tablet could not do (the lack of multiple ports, for example), which prompts Siri to exclaim, "I don't like where this is going..."

The ad came in the wake of the news that Apple is promoting the iPad Pro as a tablet with the capability of being used as your very own computer.

The Washington Post isn't really surprised by the claim of Apple that the iPad Pro is a mobile device that can replace computers.

The news article said that the claim was innovative because the sales of tablet have declined over the years. Then there's a steady rise of purchases from devices with detachable keyboards. Making sure to advertise the iPad Pro as a computer is one way to attract the businessmen on the go.

Recent news also points to Apple collaborating with other companies, like Cisco or IBM for instance, to make sure its products like the iPad Pro can work well in different environments.
