iPad Pro 'Mini' Release Date, Specs, Price Rumors: 9.7 Inch Device Joins The iPad Pro Line, Gets March Release?

In line with the upcoming 9.7-inch iPad, reports have revealed that it will join the iPad Pro line.

Available in 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch variants, the mini iPad Pro is set to share features with the bigger iPad Pro, according to 9to5 Mac. As per the publication, the device is set to feature the A9X processor and RAM upgrades from the 12.9 model, including the updated display technology to accommodate the use of the Apple pencil.

According to BGR, some iPad Pro users who had been testing the iOS 9.3 beta version reported that the update removed the operation of the Apple Pencil in the previous iOS incarnations. This included situations wherein drawing is supported and digital buttons can be pressed. The Apple Pencil functions as a "digital finger," allowing iPhone users to scroll through webpages, swipe in the display screen, select apps and text, and control text.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is also set to include a Smart Connector, along with a smaller version of a Smart Keyboard cover attachment and quad stereo speakers. Also, the device is assumed to come bearing the same hues and storage properties of the larger iPad Pro. With its launch, it is expected that the production of the first generation iPad Air and the iPad mini 2 is going to decline

Apple is set to release the iPad Pro mini along with the new 4-inch iPhone 5se, which features an A9 chip and slightly curved edges, and the Apple Watch in March. For pricing, the upcoming iPad Pro "Mini" is rumored to come with the affordable price.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is set to be released at an Apple event on Mar. 15 and shipping will begin on Mar. 18.
