iPad Pro 2 News, Release Date Rumors: Discounts On 1st-Gen iPad Pro Hints Next-Gen Is Around The Corner?
Apple is again slashing the price of the refurbished 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which has prompted rumors about the looming release of the iPad Pro 2.
According to MacRumors, the prices of the first gen models are now offered at 14-15 percent discounts. For those who will purchase the 32 GB model, they can save as much as $120. The website said that resellers are even selling the gadget at even bigger discounts.
These devices will only be available until supply lasts.
Meanwhile, the reports have been silent about the release date of the iPad Pro 2, although the rumors placed the scheduled commercial launch at around March 2017. However, Apple will reportedly unveil the new gadget as early September, maybe before the iPhone 7 or the Apple Watch, said the article.
MacWorld, however, said that waiting for one year and a half to unveil the iPad Pro 2 would be a very long wait indeed.
Instead, Apple could reveal an update for the first gen 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 just to match the specs of the 9.7 such as better cameras as well as the True Tone display. That should appease people who purchased the device in September last year.
Then Apple can announce the news about the release date for the iPad Pro 2 in March 2017 so that everybody will be happy. Meanwhile, the website said that iPad users don't usually spend their money with every new device that Apple launches.
The rumored specs for the iPad Pro 2 include a 4K video recording, retina flash, 12 MP camera and 256 GB storage option.
