iPad Mini 5 Release Date, Specs, Price Rumors: Apple To Release Gadget In Q3 2016?
The iPad Mini 4 was launched on Sept. 9 last year, alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, but there's no word yet on the newest generation. However, that did not stop news sites and blogs from reporting rumors about the iPad Mini 5 being released this September 2016.
The iPad Mini 5 was both anticipated to be announced during the Apple's March event and the WWDC 2016 in June.
Typically, however, the tech company only announces updates to the OS during the WWDC so it would have been unlikely for the tablet to be unveiled during that event.
Even as the release date for the iPad Mini 5 has yet to be announced, Macworld shared rumors about its price. According to the news article, the latest generation of the tablet is expected to be priced at around $422 for the base model.
However, the article noted that this might also increase considering the rumors that Apple will drop the 16 GB version, with the base model having a storage size of 32 GB.
As to the specs, rumors claimed that the iPad Mini 5 will feature an A8 processor and M8 motion co-processor, and the iOS 10. It will also have a retina display on the 7.9-inch screen size. However, early speculations reveal that it's going to be much thinner than the iPad Mini 4.
According to PC Advisor, that means smaller battery size. However, fans need not worry because Apple will use the technology in order not to compromise the battery life for the iPad Mini 5.
