iPad Air 3 Release Date, Specs Price Rumors: The Last ‘Air’ Line To Be Launched In Q1 2017?

It's been rumored that the iPad Air 3 will be the last of the "Air" lines, and although the release date has not been confirmed, it's generally accepted that it's going to be launched in March next year.

According to Neurogadget, the iPad Air 3 release date will be announced together with the iPad Pro 2. There's no word from Apple regarding the rumors, but that's to be expected from the Cupertino-based company.

The specs rumors for the iPad Air 3 include a 5mm thick body, 4GB of RAM and most likely a A9X chipset. It's also rumored to have an 8 MP main camera and a 2.1 MP front camera. Initial reports placed the screen at 9.7 inches, like the iPad Pro. However, the iPad Air 3 is equipped with 4K resolution support.

The iPad Air 3 specs rumors also alleged that the new device may be waterproof to some extent, as well as dustproof.

As to the price of the iPad Air 3, again there's no report yet but we can only go with the rumors that are going around. The iPad Air 2 16GB model costs about $300 while the 64GB variant bumps up the price to $379. The third iteration of the model may reach no less than $400 for the 32GB variant and $499 for the 128GB.

Again, all these specs and release date reports remain rumors for now. There should be a clearer picture once March 2017 nears, that is if there's any truth to the speculation regarding the launch.
