iPad Air 3 Release Date News & Rumors: Apple Keeps Teasing Fans With Its Silence?

The news and rumors surrounding the iPad Air 3 have been mixed, to say the least. While there are speculations that the Air lineup will be abolished by Apple, other reports also alleged that it's going to come out this year.

Meanwhile, true to form, Apple continues to be silent amid all the rumors and speculations on the iPad Air 3.

PC Advisor suggested that despite the rumors, Apple will not abandon plans for the iPad Air 3 if only for the simple reason that it's going to be a niche market-or that $500 to $600 range tablets. That means those who could not afford the iPad Pro can get their hands on the tablet instead.

The reason for optimism for the iPad Air 3 really has no basis, considering the dearth of any information on the new tablet. But MNR said that fans are still hopeful that Apple will launch the device later this year, probably in October although it could also be in September.

Also the website noted that Apple typically upgrades its iPad lineup every two years. Considering that the iPad Air 2 came out in October 2014, it makes sense therefore that the new tablet will come out also in October 2016.

As to the specs, not much is known about the iPad Air 3, although rumors suggest that it's going to be much slimmer compared to the second generation iPad. It may also utilize the same aluminum material used in the iPhone 6S although, again, that could not be confirmed since Apple is still not talking.
