iOS 9 Release Date & Features Rumors: Beta Testing Starts after Mobile OS is Unveiled at WWDC 2015?

It is a practice with Apple Inc. to release a new version of its iPhone every year, and while the Cupertino-based tech giant releases more devices, it also updates the operating system. On that note, it seems as though the next major operating system update will be the iOS 9.

Latin Post reports that Apple fans and users may possibly see a preview of the iOS 9 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco. The four-day event is scheduled for June 8 - 12.

In other words, the next iOS may come several months before the purported iPhone 7, which is expected to be unveiled sometime during the fall.

As usual, developers, who are already registered through Apple, would be the first to try out the iOS 9 beta versions. Subsequently, the public will get to test the full version of iOS 9 sometime in September. In fact, the developers will get an opportunity to fix the bugs, if any, during the three months between the first beta testing and the final version of the iOS 9.

According to reports, the iOS 9 is expected to phase out support for the iPhone 4 as well as iPad 2 devices. In other words, all Apple devices that will run on iOS 9 will have lightening fast connection.

In addition, it seems as if some home screen widgets will also be present in iOS 9 enabling the users to see the popular notifications like weather, sports scores and calendar previews right on their home screen. Users can click on these items to expand them.

The latest iOS update may also feature a guest mode or kids' mode. In other word, other people desiring to use someone's iPhone may be granted guest access to only specific apps and features of the smartphone.

Apart from these, iOS 9 may also come with bug fixes that have bothered iOS 8 users, in addition to an improved Health app.
