iOS 9 News, Rumors: Google Analytics Reveal Apple Already Working on New OS
Even as the release of iOS 8.2 update seems to be imminent, fans of Apple are now keen to know whether the Cupertino-headquartered tech giant has already begun work on the next operating system - iOS 9.
A report in Christian Today says that Google Analytics at the Czech tech website Letemsvetemapplem has recently revealed that Apple Inc. is already working on its next operating system update. In fact, the analytics also revealed three separate visits to the Czech site on Jan. 5, Jan. 10 and Jan. 13. According to Forbes, this is quite logical since, based on Apple's release pattern, the company is likely to introduce the iOS 9 sometime by July or August.
Meanwhile, Apple Insider is said to have saved traffic data showing visits from devices apparently running early builds of iOS 9 increased gradually during the past month. The site further stated that such traffic was at its peak during the previous week and continues to increase.
However, Apple has yet to confirm the leaks shared by Google. At the same time, and Forbes conjectures that it is possible that Apple is simply confusing Google by using devices laden with fake iOS 9. Nonetheless, the site is of the view that it is more useful to work on the purported operating system instead of playing some prank, as the Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC), where Apple is expected to introduce the iOS 9, not very far off.
While it is possible that Apple is moving ahead with the next operating system update, hardly any detail regarding the development is coming through. According to Apple Insider, the Cupertino-based tech giant may possibly making some enhancements on its Maps service, as the company already has HopStop and Embark in grasp. In addition, the company may also come up with some improvement in its indoor navigation technology, as the tech titan has already acquired WifiSLAM.
Apple Insider also expects that finally Siri will pass over to third-party apps, while the company may make the NFC chip inside the hood of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus accessible to developers with a view to enable the latter to make it compatible with other services. Currently, this chip is solely being used to power Apple Pay.
Lastly, Apple Insider informs that Apple has already reserved June 8 and 12 for an event at Moscone Center in San Francisco. It is expected that this event may actually turn out to be the Worldwide Developers Conference.
