iOS 8 Jailbreak Download News: Jailbreakers Say Goal is ‘Freedom for Users’

Jailbreak team TaiG, for iOS 8, recently answered several questions in an interview and revealed that their general goal is freedom for iOS users.

In November 2014, TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 was unveiled two weeks after Apple closed the Pangu jailbreak. In that regard, TaiG answered several intriguing questions in an interview with iDownload. At the beginning of the interview, TaiG was asked about his identity and he answered that his name is XN and he developed TaiG.

The interviewee named XN discussed that TaiG is a simple jailbreak team and is not affiliated with any other company, including Pangu. XN was asked if he promotes piracy and his simple answer was: "The purpose of jailbreak is to get more freedom for users."

XN also assured fans that his jailbreaking tool for iOS 8 is safe since he does not have any reason to develop unsafe tools and he is out to build a reputable brand.

For those that do not know, jailbreaking allows the user to access iOS system files and download applications that are not available in the Apple app store.

When TaiG jailbreak was released, speculations rose that it is all about the money, but XN denied the rumors. The creator revealed that he does not have any financial gains from the jailbreak and he will not think about money as motivation.

In response to the jailbreaks, Apple released iOS 8.2 beta 3 recently. However, it will be another cat and mouse chase for Apple since XN confirmed that the TaiG tool can also jailbreak the recent update.

Apple has rarely commented about the jailbreakers such as TaiG and Pangu. Some users say that chasing jailbreakers is useless and Apple should focus more on making their operating system excellent.

Before the interview ended, XN announced a "Worldwide Jailbreak Developer Meeting" in China and invited other jailbreak developers.

According to TaiG's XN, the said event will be on Jan. 6, 2015.
