iOS 8 Beta Update News, Rumors: Apple's Upcoming iWatch Syncs with iPhone

After iOS 8.0 made headlines for its huge structural changes, the fourth beta version has been pushed into development almost one month after Apple's third beta. Unlike earlier versions, this beta update is unique because it holds hints that it will sync with the upcoming Apple Watch.

Buried at the bottom of the screen under Other Devices, there is a section for connecting your iPhone to an Apple Watch. This update was made to the Bluetooth menu, which, depending on what technology you have, you may not have noticed. The update reads, "To pair an Apple Watch with your iPhone, go to the Apple Watch app."

It looks as if smart watches are becoming a very real trend in smart technology. Many predict that wearable technology will be the next game-changer, if it is done correctly. Like Google Glasses, smart watches have huge hands-free implications for users, and can be trendy and fashionable as well.

In a September report, Apple claimed that the Apple Watch could be synced to an iPhone app for management purposes. Should Apple be successful with their wearable technology, they could be the first movers into a very big, very valuable market. As of yet, it is still unclear if the Apple Watch app will be with the iOS update, or a separate option.

According to Tech Spot, Apple has plans to start selling its wearable technology in March. The watch will work with Apply Pay and your iPhone (as from iPhone 5). Pricing could start at $349 and scale up, depending on what wristband you are looking for.
