'Insidious 3' New Movie Footage News: First Teaser Trailer Featured at WonderCon 2015
"Insidious: Chapter 3' which is all set to release on June 5, 2015, released first trailer during the fan convention WonderCon.
The third edition in the "Indsidious' series, "Insidious: Chapter 3' is rumored to be a prequel to the previous editions. The movie is written and directed by Leigh Whannell in his directorial debut and produced by Focus Features.
At the convention, Blumhouse Productions unveiled new footage of the upcoming horror movie.
The synopsis of the movie, according to io9, is as follows:
"This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity."
The first clip shows a scene in which the deceased mother of Scott's character is contacted by Lin Shaye's medium Elise Rainier. But it isn't quite successful, as she has to stop as confusion and terror overtakes her and she warns Scott to find another psychic.
In the second clip, Scott is seen in the hands of the main demonic evil of the film, the Man Who Can't Breathe, a burned apparition in hospital gown who drags the wheelchair-bound Scott down a corridor and dumps her on the floor of an empty room, only to confront a faceless version of herself crawling on stumps instead of arms and legs.
The movie stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell, Lin Shaye, Ashton Moio, Steve Coulter, Ele Keats and Hayley Kiyoko.
