'Injustice 2' Release Date, News: Two New Characters To Be Featured At SDCC, One Of Them Is A Woman
In line with Warner Bros.' "Injustice 2," it is revealed that the title is set to feature two characters this week.
NetherRealm Studios is set to unveil two new characters for "Injustice 2" at the San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC, Game Spot has learned. As per the publication, the studio is holding a panel at the said event, which assumes to be a suitable timing for the studio to make a blasting announcement to the fans of the hit Warner Bros. Title.
On June 10, NetherRealm head Ed Boon tweeted a photo of the title's advertisement. Along with a villanous character at the center of the said image, two silhouettes can be seen at its lower-right portion. According to VG247, it looks like on of the two new characters is a woman; however, the publication did not give a guess on who could it be.
Following Warner Bros.' announcement of the game title several days prior to the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 event, fans have rumored that the game would include Harley Quinn, Doctor Fate, and Captain Cold. However, only two among them are set to be included in the game at this point, based on Boon's reveal.
The two characters are set to join confirmed title characters, who include Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Supergirl, Atrocitus, and Gorilla Grodd.
Netherland Studio's panel is slated to take place on July 22 at 12:30 p.m. Along with Boon, the event is set to see "Injustice" comics author Tom Taylor, in addition to voice actors George Newnbern (Superman), Phil LaMarr (Aquaman), and Laura Bailey (Supergirl).
"Injustice 2" is slated to be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017.
