The "Injustice 2" release date is highly anticipated considering the news about some new playable characters for the sequel. Fans can now play Atroticus, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beetle, Deadshot and Supergirl. The game is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Of course, the staple characters like Aquaman, Batman, Flash, Harley Quinn, Superman and Wonder Woman are also returning for the sequel.

According to some rumors, the announcement on the release date for "Injustice: Gods Among Us 2" will be revealed soon. The speculation is fans should be red marking the E3 as the date when more details will come in.

What fans are waiting for is the possible release of a comics to prop up interest for the sequel, just like what NetherRealm did with the first.
