'Indiana Jones' New Movie Rumors, News: Fifth Reboot Coming in 2018?

While it was recently announced that Disney and Lucasfilms would be picking the 'Indiana Jones' franchise back up in the later years, recent rumors are now currently pointing the long-awaited reboot to Q4 of 2018.

The rumor comes from AICN that claims that their news source is long-time and trustworthy.

"I asked some friendly spies in and around Lucasfilm for confirmation and didn't get it, but also didn't get a denial, either. As with any early rumor take this with a grain of salt, but it makes sense to me even though Indy has traditionally been a summer release franchise," writes AICN.

Lucasfilms President Kathleen Kennedy has also confirmed that the movie would be coming in due time in a past interview stating:

"Will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."

Word was also circulating on Disney's biggest star Chris Pratt taking on the role as the virile Harrison Ford. This is still also unconfirmed as of now.

"The rumors have been all over the place with Chris Pratt said to have been hand picked by Spielberg to take over the fedora (even though Pratt denied it), but no matter what we know that Lucasfilm will be making more Indiana Jones movies. There's too much money in the franchise. Kathy Kennedy herself said as much," writes AICN.

Reboots are certainly hot right now for the studios so the chances we get a reboot are definitely on the high side.
